Our vision at PRAXES is to advance the strength of parents and caregivers of children with special needs (mental health, intellectual, or physical) through education, support, and empowerment so they can live healthy and functional lives while caring for the child.
It is our belief that every parent has talents, skills, and attributes which can be enhanced to improve their personal life, as a parent and a person. These skills are an extension of their own individuality and can be utilized to help them meet challenges in their everyday life.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for our parents through their involvement with our curriculum of sessions.
Our goal is to provide research based training and materials which reduce parental stress, improve parent-child relationships, and nurture skills for parents in their home and community life.
