Product Details

The Child and Family Team (CFT) is a group of formal representatives from county agencies as well as informal individuals from the foster child’s significant others. The CFT’s purpose is to provide an organized manner of advancing a permanent and stable placement for the child. This one and one-half hour training will cover the different elements that comprise a CFT, how the CFT is formed and runs within the context of Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC), and the best ways to facilitate its operation.

By the end of the course, participants will understand:

  • How services must be delivered using a CFT to guide the service delivery process.
  • The caregiver’s responsibility in the CFT in care planning, monitoring and review processes.
  • Understanding of the dual role of a Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) parent to create a safe, family environment for the child/youth, while delivering a clinical service.
