Tried and True On-Site and Online Training Available to Your Staff

Extensive Training Subjects

Praxes Behavioral Health has a vast archive of meaningful and thought-provoking training, available both on-site and online. These training courses are research-based in theory and application, utilize the real world experiences of participants, and combine lecture, discussion, and role playing to produce rich learning experiences for your staff. We also offer training courses for foster family agencies (FFAs) and child or youth residential facilities such as STRTPs and QTRPs.

Intensive Model Series

With Praxes Behavioral Health's Intensive Model Series of trainings is designed for agencies to improve the functioning of parents, adolescents, and children.  Our Intensive Parent Model is recognized as a emerging practice by the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare (CEBC). It demonstrates a reduction of parental stress by 33% and improvement of child behaviors by 40% throughout California.  The companion practices,  Intensive Youth Model and Intensive Child Model, provide similar results for adolescents and children respectively.   All are between half-day to full-day training with support throughout the practice.   Praxes Behavioral Health training courses offer agencies live or live-streamed training to foster agency staff so they can teach the required materials. This format has been used with hundreds of staff and has received high marks in satisfaction and knowledge learned.
